Ginkgo Biloba is a well known botanical that promotes mental alertness. It has been studied extensively in the elderly suffering from 'cerebral insufficiency' or lack of proper blood supply to the brain.

Symptoms of cerebral insufficiency include poor memory, absent mindedness, confusion, anxiety, vertigo, headaches and tinnitus (ringing in the ear). Ginkgo Biloba has been proven effective in restoring mental function and improving memory by increasing blood circulation to the brain. Ginkgo also has a blood 'thinning" effect and acts as an antioxidant, preventing free radical cell damage.

Directions

Take one three times a day with meals and a glass of water.

The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded Ginkgo is not recommended for use by children.

Ginkgo supplements should be avoided by those taking blood thinning medication for example Warfarin and Heparin.
